Everyone should feel Christmas as a
special day wherein they should celebrate it with their loved ones. But there
is something that I always ask to myself: does everyone feel Christmas as a
special day? Or do they celebrate it with their loved ones?
Houses filled with magnificent Christmas
lights, full of wonderful Christmas decorations, tables with delicious foods
that would full the tummies of everyone. But most especially the heart that is
filled with joy and love, and the soul that feels the spirit of Jesus Christ
and the true meaning of Christmas.
But not only that, Christmas is the time
where a family tries to be whole and complete. Why did I say so? Because we,
Filipinos, believe that Christmas is not complete if one of the members of our
family is not with us to celebrate it. But some, unfortunately, cannot celebrate
it with their families because they are too far, a good example are the OFW’s. However,
thanks to technology because it’s one way of connecting people far from each
other.
I also wonder if there are those who treat
Christmas as an ordinary day, there are those people who never experience
celebrating it with many foods in their tables, with their houses with
decorations, but they still manage to be happy with those things that they have
and things that they don’t have.
So I believe that Christmas should be
felt by our hearts and souls.
